Indian art rocked in Dubai
Out of the sixty galleries that participated in the Dubai Art Fair, five were from India and most from Mumbai. The galleries made sure that they brought an Indian flavor to the fair to the max. Two dancing monkeys that greeted people with a salaam was one of the key attractions of the fair.
The work by Uma Mulji grabbed many eyeballs. Then, there was Arn Bhalla’s work that portrayed the Yamuna river. Project 88′s counter also housed three works by the maverick MF Husain. The Vadhera art gallery had a painting by artist Prajakta Palav that showed one of ourfavourite Gods, Lord Ganesha, in a local train.
