Through her work, Seema Kohli is known to unravel an altered concept of feminine sexuality. 

Seema Kohli works focus on not only a woman’s physical attributes but also her intellect, dreams and realities.  In her art, there’s a celebration of beauty, intimacy and sensuality. Her work is symbolic of the progress and recycling of thought processes in the human mind, portrayed as calmer and serene both in terms of the form and the palette.

The creative process has been gradual, albeit enriching, akin to a spiritual experience for the artist who has traversed and transcended boundaries, within and without. As an artist, delving into her creative reservoir and tapping into her subconscious data has been a rewarding and fulfilling experience.

In the process, the mundane suddenly gets transformed into the new, something worthwhile. It’s alchemy of experience into color and form that she wants to offer the Divine. Delving into the journey of her creations, she says: “The need to expand my vista was intense. My journey then took a special route, culminating in diverse media of expression - sculpture, installation or painting.” She works in a variety of mediums including inks, ceramics; bronzes, prints and oil on canvas.

My creations have always been inspired by the ubiquitous creator himself. I am only the chosen medium, asserts the artist.
